The Obstacles

The challenges are unending,

When you’re struggling to survive.

On you, it’s always depending,

But you managed to stay alive.

When you were young life was easy,

Someone provided what you need.

Reality is uneasy,

Nothing in life is guaranteed.

Most people smile and keep going,

Living life one day at a time.

Each day has new seeds for sowing,

But it’s always an uphill climb.

You try to leave the past behind,

Tomorrow is another day.

Trying to keep it all aligned,

Sometimes it doesn’t go your way.

The journey is never-ending,

With new challenges, you must face.

There is no sense in pretending,

Your obstacles remain in place.

Struggles Along The Way

She has remained a free spirit,

Never wanting to be tied down.

Enjoys each day never fears it,

But her feet remain on the ground.

In life, she faces the struggles,

Because they are a part of life.

She continually juggles,

Trying to avoid daily strife.

She knows everyone must face it,

Sometimes it tries to ground her wings.

Though she isn’t the type to quit,

She accepts whatever life brings.

Though she can still see the beauty,

It’s becoming harder to fly.

She faces the call of duty,

As life continues passing by.

Every day is an adventure,

Facing struggles along the way.

It can be a risky venture,

But there are always dues to pay.

Striving For Survival

We are striving for survival,

Living it one day at a time.

It has become our revival,

We are continuing to climb.

The road remains never-ending,

Somehow, we manage to get by.

On each other, we’re depending,

Our accomplishments gratify.

The challenges of tomorrow,

Are bringing changes every day.

To each of them, we say hello,

We face whatever comes our way.

We shared the laughter and the tears,

Striving together to survive.

While surmounting all of our fears,

We managed to keep hope alive.

We have never asked for pity,

It does no good to get upset.

A part of our society,

No matter how hard life can get.
