After Hell
Run,
run, run, that’s what they did
To
escape the horned king’s fire tongues.
Luckily
a furry friend that most ignored
Came
to the rescue and with a kind heart,
He
offered them shelter in his family home.
Finally,
the fiery curtain went out
And
they thought that the nightmare was over.
But
the scars it left are deeper than they thought
Since
there are other problems they need to solve.
“What
are we going to do now?” asked a rabbit.
“All
that was dear to us is now gone.”
“So
as my food source,” added the host.
“You’ll
have to find something else,”
Said
a spiny creature while eating a wandering ant.
As
the residents talked out the problem,
They
came to the conclusion that
Either
they take the wise echidna’s advice,
Or
let the lady in black slowly embrace them.
With
hope in their hearts,
They
carried out an exploration
Leaving
no stone unturned.
Some
cried every time
They
saw a charred tree.
A
kitten got scared of the suffering plant
Believing
it to be a demon.
Seeing
them in such despair,
Koalas
with sooty fur,
Kangaroos,
the brave dingoes,
The
cockatoos and their feathered friends
Along
with armored reptiles big and small
Decided
to give their neighbors a helping hand with the exploration.
Through
hardships and dangers,
They
try to live a normal life.
There
was no time for anger, whims or complaints,
All
had to work together to survive.

Leading A Dog’s Life
Wars,
hatred, hunger and despair
Seem
to paint most of the canvas.
Grown-ups
try to provide for the children of the world,
So
that they could grow healthy
And
be prepared to fend for themselves
In
the jungle we call life.
Some
won’t mind the stress
Even
if they have to walk for miles
Every
day to fetch some water,
Or
hunt through thick forests
To
provide the food they need.
Only
a few remember to protect
The
fount of wisdom from the bulldozers.
Either
if we are from the middle or low class,
No
one is spared from the times of hardship.
Illiteracy,
sickness, fear, confusion and sins
Worsen
things in life.
Although
most of us lead a dog’s life,
No
one will take away our hopes and dreams.
Guided
by the seven virtues,
With
courage and determination by our side,
No
one will stop us from working to live a better life.

Left In The Hands Of Fate
A
man is making his way
To
the water of life
Ignoring
the spikes of pain
That
fate inflicted upon him.
With
his wings clipped he fell,
But
two powerful hands lifted him up.
Either
if nourishment is scarce,
Or
it has a bad taste,
He
doesn’t complain.
It’s
hard to find
And
he has to forage for it every day.
Mud
and dirt cover almost his whole body,
Through
thrown rocks,
He
carries on.
Venom
is spat on him by careless souls
That
always reminds him
That
he’s as poor as a church mouse.
Bearing
his cross alone,
Pearly
tears run down his broken heart
Whenever
the good deeds of his past
Are
forgotten by his peers.
The
soul fights for his life
Without
giving up hope,
Knowing
that there is someone in the heavens above
Who
cares for him?
