FETHI SASSI

FETHI SASSI

A Small Ant

As time goes on , I don’t desire anything
I‘m man with a bad temper ,
I don’t want anything.
But my strange desires don’t resemble any other desire,
For example, sleeping with all the women of the universe at once
Or to sleep with an ant
Yes …. A small ant
Seeing her since the morning in front of her hole
I enter her bedroom; carefully arrange her little house with her
Help her to carry the crumbs into the kitchen
It is enough for me that she is elegant, and she has soft braids
She love poetry and red nights
And she excites me when she plays under my bed, and she carries my
poor words to the nearest poem
And she sleeps under my impossible dreams

I Fill Up My Pocket With Stars

O ; cloud …
Which seating alone high in the sky
I’ll tell all the moons, not to let you change your plaits’ colour
So I can hide the night on your eyebrows
Take me
Take me, so I don’t fall like the dust
Like a painter threw a rainbow in the edge of the wind
To ascent to you stealthily
Filling up my pocket with stars.

An Unfinished Moon Cycle

Do you know?
I’ll go back to the beginning of the line to learn the alphabets of counting blessings in the night of timing
I’ll rearrange the twilight according to the language of colors, run away from the seriousness of what we are going to talk about next…
Start just like that… no pain in the water could disclose what has been resident in names of the dice list.
That’s why I told you to leave everything in its right place, we would think to change the rituals of darkness and live in the distress of places. You are like a face from the unknown… an unfinished moon cycle
Still flirting with jasmines in its kingdom… and your silence is its perplexed names… Wherever you go away, alone, under the tree of the wind, you rip the sun above so your night won’t yawn before sleeping, drowning in the laziness of the words. So don’t utter a word… I was the lady of names… I was transparent in the absence.
Because after you left, the dolls of the night haven’t met and my poems slept in the nothingness.
