WELKIN SISKIN

Erstwhile Moment

Shared heavens
On a cruise of life
And shared stark delight
That comes out of this life
And shared slopes and hills,
Dales and valleys,
Shared blues and dark
In hope of painting
The sapphire, the red, white and black
By way of which we sheltered
And garnered the theme of life—
Its gist, its essence, its wholeness and grandeur.

Sensing The Past

We sensed things
Out of the window of life
Shunned all that led us to sorrow
And broke the deceitful vows,
Captured the moments of truth
In which these lives rest:
We weaved dreams together,
Pushing backward all the hardships
Distanced from the reign of shadows,
A shroud of darkness
Imbibing the true path leading to
The karmic cycle of hopes,
And we reign these lives
With unimaginable jubilation.

Pleasure And Pain

There is pleasure in imagination
And pangs of conscience in the entity
And acrid mode of being in existence
And contingency in reality
To live beyond where the mortal’s dwell
And to imagine life heartedly being the immortal
Could never thy life foil you
To reawaken before all.
