MESUT SENOL
Going Down The Hill Of The
Dreams
the color design of the dusty horizon
being reflected
from the yellow shield of the sunflowers
its satin dull gray edges are broken
the ears are prepared in the showy prairie
screams are not caged
while being dragged down barefooted
thoughts are in a close embrace with
feelings
passengers being full without taking
the lunch boxes presented by time
the desperate who find out
their thirst by seeing the horse flushes
faraway places seem near, though the
station
of mirages is vacant
while going down the hill, the indicators
get loose out of the heat of the dreams…
yet myself who functions in the straight
mode
strange to say, I am put to it!
Flying On The Wings Of A
Desert Breeze
Tonight, I feel different, so much so I am
alien to my essence
Here and there I imagine seeing us walking
with the desert’s breeze
So gentle, it is a melody to our ears and a
nice touch of caress
From the deep down of our soul, we
anticipate the right words
It is the surrounding of a magical starry
night above us
Twilight fairies must be trailing the steps
we are about to take
Imagining the things so extraordinary to
happen in an instance
A suspense is so sweet and strange to
experience being speechless
I am dazzled inside my thinking and feeling
mechanisms
Making me a flying creature on the wing of
a desert breeze
So surreal, but surprisingly it feels like
a totally an earthly adventure
I may find my essence as I let everything
be circling around a kiss
Litte Birds’ Paradise
Small drops of elixir
taken by the heavenly birds
They used to perch over there
on a delicate balance
over the wavy but persistent ivies
of the noble toiling grape
Flying wings herald good or bad news
from the beloved one
who is so far away but
ever present here
on the wall to look at it
or to accompany to sip the pleasure
of those nostalgic moments
that are already gone
but at the same time
traceable
in the fine goblets of wine
