GANGABISSOON
Earth’s Survival
The soft tunes of
life
Play on
As Earth, sick and
diseased,
Breathes with effort!
She remembers of her
youth,
Of then, when
Draped in red robes,
She would dance and
tap her feet
Mesmerizing those drenched
in love with her!
Now,
Worn and cracked,
She can only cough
And try not to break
down,
While her children,
Those same who once
were in love with her,
Remain rooted there
where they are
Appalled at what is
happening around them,
Wondering, wonderstruck
At the meaning and
purpose of their existence!
Love’s Effort
No, cried Love,
I believe in myself
I know,
Somehow,
I am a delicacy,
That,
Life craves for me,
As it needs me for
its survival!
To say that I exist
not,
That I am a lie
A shame, a way to
soothe the ego
Implies that I am now
As unworthy as a
rotten egg
Meant to be thrown
away
As soon as possible!
Pray,
I am not dead,
My tomb may be there,
Set by the occult
forces
Trying to govern this
world,
But the guardian
angels of God
Well aware
Of the potency of my
power
Watch over me
And in them
I lay my trust!
I am not dead,
Nor am I dying
Lying bed ridden on a
dirty bed
Smelling of foulness!
Why,
Rest assured that
I shall make sure
That I make myself
heard
And felt
As long as I can!
The Pit
From up there,
In between the folds
of comfort,
I was given a glimpse
of this world!
People swam in
shallow and calm seas
Others shopped and
partied
Others toiled and
lived
How beautiful said I
How happy they all
seemed to be
Wearing such
glamorous smiles on their faces!
I realised not,
That falling in this
world
Is like falling into
a pit,
In which the snakes
of darkness
Have built their
nests!
Pray,
People smile because
they are used to doing such
People smile because
they are ignorant,
Because their senses
rule them
And they can perceive
what they can see solely
As being the whole
reality!
Why, I wonder what
shall happen to me after death
I seek the survival
of my soul
Sitting, once more,
In between the folds
of comfort
Up there,
From where I fell!
