ORALKAN
The Burry Past
i looked
back time after time
on that
deep burial
the
silent traces
of the
burry past
having
been a cat's paw
of the
crestfallen times
two back
and one front
as if
knitting thessalonian style
starting
a new row
crushed
and scratched
between
the devil and the deep sea
a voice
from the buried desires
good
morning
solstice
day-transcript
then
tell the
icebergs that
here is
the brazenfaced darkness
where is
that love-kindling brightness
to turn
the dreams
Translated by Baki Yiğit
Within The Sediment Of The Earthquake
i must
reborn in every pain
just to
spite injustice called death
i still
sing the song of humanity
just the
spite the woes i got covered with and my broken dreams
Translated by Baki Yiğit
The Entangled Night
the
clouds are strangers to each other
and the
moon is slithering
in the
entangled night
the waves
are strangers to their pier
my own
metaphor is for myself
who cares
when the
time comes
when my
wounds fester
at the short
time of the evening
i will
plunge into the open seas
i will
take refuge in the womb
of the
ocean as far as possible
i will
plunge and become
an angel
i will be
snapped up
maybe i
will be looted
in every
soul, in every cell
again and
again
i will be
born into the universe
with my
numerous eyes
with or
without words
uncertain
whether
educated or not
the night
is silent and all alone
Translated by Baki Yiğit
