Overcoming All By Love

The dark clouds of disease and dread are floating around.
The streets are silent, there is no sound.
In fear and uncertainty, we abound.
A cure to stop COVID 19 is yet to be found.

But a mother anoints balm on this fear.
She cooks delicious food and gives comfort to ones her dear.
A father works the whole day long.
He makes sure there is food on the table to ensure the children’s song.

A doctor gives service night and day.
All health workers working away.
The cleaners and sweepers keeping clean the vicinity.
The essential workpeople keeping power and water in the city.

Social distancing is the norm.
Digital signature has replaced physical signature on the form.
Televisions flashing demographical news of the spread.
Sanitation and hygiene to defeat the disease’s dread.

With love and empathy, we will survive.
With strength of mind, in despair we will not dive.
Uncertainties will vanish one day.
We will overcome COVID 19 in every way.

Who Can Defeat Us?

From prehistoric times there have been epidemics and pandemics.
But the human race has sprung back again and again.
Evidence of diseases wiping away great number of people are there.
But still the human race has survived and gone forward to dare.

Whether the Athenian or the Antonine Plague.
The Cyprian Plague or the Plague of Justinian.
Black Death gripping Europe by its throat,
Or the Plague of Marseille which was brought by a boat.

Defeat, defeat that’s what we did.
That’s what we will do again.
We will go forward and the disease fight.
We will stop COVID 19 with all our might.

Brains And Emotions Will Fight The War

A brain which is highly developed.
Analysing and understanding experiences of all days.
Taking needed actions to solve problems always.
That’s where humans are way ahead.

So, what can a tiny creature without a true cell do?
Spread it may with all its might.
We have intelligence with it to fight.
So, we will surely win some day.

Emotions not one but twenty- seven in count.
To overcome adverse situations in every way.
To brighten up each and every day.
These emotions will help defeat the pandemic.

The tiny creature unable to divide outside a living being.
Spreading around like wildfire.
Don’t you scare us, don’t you dare.
We will fight and win the war against COVID 19.
